IF ONLY

If Only...Two small words that can cause you to live in despair and anguish.  If Only...Two small words that can keep guilt and condemnation alive.  If Only...Two small words that can keep you in a prison and bound.  If Only...two small words that can cause you to become angry, bitter and hard.  If Only...Two small words that can keep you from becoming all that the Lord has created you to be and to accomplish.  If Only...Two small words that can keep you from all of the good God has stored up just for you.
 
Two small words, IF ONLY, when put together, can create havoc in our lives.  If Only...when thought upon will cause us to dredge up a past that is dead and gone; urging and cheering us on to relive and to replay every moment of every regret, every unwise decision, every loss, every heartache, every failure, and every rejection.  If Only...will cause us to live in a world of misery and keep us from fulfilling the purpose and plan that God has fashioned for our lives.
 
If Only...We cannot change the past, what we have done or not done; we cannot go back into the past and change all that we may wish and long to undo.  We cannot pull back hurtful words that we have spoken.  We cannot change what happened in the PAST.   We cannot hit "REWIND" and start all over again.

Oh, IF ONLY....

BUT....when you separate the IF from the ONLY, the miraculous will happen.

IF we choose to make Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives; IF we choose to submit to His Lordship and invite Him in to our lives, allowing Him to take the broken pieces of our lives and fashion them into a beautiful work of art, ONLY then will "If Only..." loose the grip and power it has had in our lives. 

ONLY Jesus has the power to restore us and make us whole.  Jesus will abolish the "IF ONLY..." that has plagued our lives and replace the "IF ONLY" with forgiveness; He will forgive us of ALL of our transgressions and give us the power to forgive ourselves and the power to forgive others.

Jesus WILL set us free, filling us with His peace and unspeakable joy.  Peace and joy that we will not be able to contain, so that it overflows and covers every area of our lives, and spills over into the lives of others.

IF we choose to ask Jesus into our heart, mind and soul, and we receive and accept Him as Lord and Savior of and over our lives, ONLY then can we be set free of the "IF ONLY".

Your Move...You Choose...This Day...Yesterday is dead and gone...Tomorrow is not promised...Today is all we can lay claim to...What are you waiting for...
